WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY?
ANNA POPOVA: I've always been a demanding customer. Eventually, I realized that if you want to have something done properly, you should do it yourself. So in 2006 I enrolled to the nail care course to be able to get the nails I want to have. During the course it became obvious that nail care is my dream job. I dint hesitate a second to change profession. For some time I was trying to combine being a university teacher and a manicure specialist, but even then it was clear: nail care is my true calling. I started teaching again - this time nail aesthetics, and to be honest, my previous experience multiplied by knowledge of foreign languages became a real asset that allows me to reach another level of professionalism.
WHERE DO YOU DRAW INSPIRATION? WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
ANNA POPOVA: I'm really inspired by my students. Thanks to them I don't stop ever, they give me strength to advance. I'm totally crazy about learning new things and tricks - progress is my biggest motivation. Every time I come across something I've never seen or tried before, I'm filled with joy that I'm learning something new, for the world of learning is truly never-ending! And yet, sharing this knowledge brings even more satisfaction - especially when I'm witnessing professional growth and success of my students!
ANNA POPOVA: I idolize no one. But I'm surrounded by so many people from various backgrounds and industries that astonish, inspire and motivate me, people who do what they do so well... I guess, that's my collective idol.
WHAT IS STALEKS PRO FOR YOU?
ANNA POPOVA: Staleks Pro is quality and reliability for me. What else do you need to succeed? One must be able to do what they really like and take pleasure and pride in their work.
WHAT ACHIEVEMENTS OF YOURS MAKE YOU PROUD?
ANNA POPOVA: The most important thing for me now is that I've become an instructor for Kodi Professional, so I can share my knowledge and experience around the globe, and in the same time dive head-in into national peculiarities of nail care, learning processes and so on. From a certain point of view, that's my personal growth, too. In such moments new ideas are born, new goals emerge, and you all of sudden realize that there are no unreachable targets!
ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR A BEGINNER?
ANNA POPOVA: Beginners must never assume that at some point they have mastered all there's to be learned, since every talent needs to be developed. Try to find yourself, try to develop your own style, to pick your niche where you can become the number one! Contemplate, find inspiration, and create!
